Terms and Conditions for Elevate Time AB

- About Us & Basis of Agreement
Elevate Time AB (‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’) is a Swedish company (Org nr: 559510-0057) specializing in the sale of vintage watches, registered under VAT number SE559510005701. We believe a vintage watch is more than just a timepiece – it is a piece of history. The business relationship between Elevate Time AB and you, the customer, will be governed exclusively by the following Terms and Conditions in the version valid at the time of the order. By ordering any of our products, you agree to be bound by these terms.
- Product Description & Condition
- All watches sold by Elevate Time AB are pre-owned vintage timepieces.
- We guarantee the authenticity of every watch, which is verified through a thorough inspection by our specialists.
- Each watch is professionally serviced by a skilled watchmaker prior to sale, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the individual product description.
- Due to the age of vintage watches, we do not guarantee their timekeeping accuracy to modern standards or their water resistance. Any such capabilities will be explicitly mentioned in the product description.
- The condition of each watch is presented as accurately as possible through detailed descriptions and high-resolution photographs. As is inherent to vintage items, signs of wear may be present and are considered part of the watch’s unique history and character. The photographs form an integral part of the product description; any condition or detail clearly visible in the photographs is considered disclosed.
- Authenticity Guarantee
We stand by the authenticity of every watch we sell. Each timepiece undergoes an inspection to verify that its components are correct for the model and its era. Any known service or replacement parts will always be clearly disclosed in the individual product description.
In the unlikely event that a watch is proven to be inauthentic, we offer a full refund, subject to the following conditions:
- The claim must be supported by written, conclusive evidence from an expert whom we mutually agree upon, or from an official service center of the watch’s brand.
- The watch must be returned to Elevate Time AB in the exact same condition as it was sold and with all accompanying items.
- Elevate Time AB reserves the right to perform a final inspection to verify the claim and the watch’s condition before issuing the refund.
- Professional Servicing
Unless stated otherwise in the individual product description, each watch is professionally serviced by a skilled watchmaker to ensure it is in good working order. Our standard service includes the following:
- A thorough inspection of the movement and all components.
- A complete disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, reassembly, and proper oiling of the movement.
- Replacement of worn standard components (e.g., mainspring) where necessary. We prioritize using period-correct parts to maintain the watch’s integrity.
- Calibration and regulation of the movement to function reliably and keep time within the accepted standards for a vintage timepiece of its era.
- Warranty for Peace of Mind
We offer a 12-month warranty on all watches, covering mechanical defects and workmanship. Should an issue arise within the warranty period, we will repair the watch free of charge or provide an equivalent solution.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
- Coverage Period: The warranty is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- What the Warranty Covers:
- Mechanical Issues: Defects in movement, such as timekeeping irregularities or mechanical malfunctions.
- Workmanship: Faults resulting from servicing or restoration performed by Elevate Time AB.
- What the Warranty Does Not Cover:
- Normal Wear and Tear: Scratches, discoloration, or other cosmetic changes due to use and age.
- Water and Moisture Damage: Unless explicitly stated in the watch description that the watch is water-resistant. Vintage watches are generally not guaranteed for water resistance.
- Damage Due to Mishandling: Such as dropping, improper use, exposure to extreme conditions, or presence of dirt or dampness.
- Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications: Repairs or alterations performed by third parties or attempts to repair the watch independently will void this warranty.
- Battery Replacement: For quartz watches, battery replacement is not included under warranty.
- Accuracy of the Watch: The accuracy of vintage watches may vary and is not covered by the warranty.
- Wear and tear of wristband, glass, winding stem, crown, spring, buttons and pushers.
- Warranty Claims:
- Contact Us: Email our customer support team with your order details and a description of the issue.
- Assessment: We will assess the issue and may request photos or videos of the watch.
- Repair Process: If the issue falls under warranty, you can ship the watch to us for repair. Shipping costs for warranty claims are covered by the customer unless otherwise agreed in advance.
- Important Notes:
- The warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
- This warranty is valid only when the watch is accompanied by its proof of purchase and this document.
- Removing any labels, stickers, or other markings required for identification of the product will lead to the loss of any warranty claims whatsoever.
- Pricing and Payment
- All prices are final prices in Euros or SEK (if applicable for Swedish customers). Shipping costs and payment fees are recognized before confirming the purchase.
- Card information is transmitted over secure SSL encryption and is not stored. All transfers are handled and transacted through third-party dedicated gateways to guarantee your protection. Please read the terms and conditions for the payment gateway chosen for the transaction as they are responsible for the transactions made.
- The ordered merchandise will only be shipped after the purchase price has been paid in full by the customer.
- Shipping and Delivery
- We ship worldwide with reputable carriers and tracking. Shipping times may vary based on location and customs clearance.
- Shipping Verification and Fraud Prevention:
- To safeguard both our customers and Elevate Time AB against potential discrepancies or fraud, a detailed video recording of the packaging process is made for every outgoing order. This recording documents the exact condition of the watch, its accessories, and the packaging materials immediately prior to shipment. This serves as irrefutable evidence of the item’s state when it left our premises.
- Furthermore, each watch is placed within a unique, tamper-evident security bag, which is then sealed before being placed into the shipping box. The integrity of this security seal is also documented in the video recording.
- Customers are strongly advised to inspect the outer packaging and the internal security bag upon receipt. Any signs of damage to the shipping box or tampering with the internal security bag must be immediately reported to the shipping carrier and to Elevate Time AB, ideally with photographic or video evidence, before opening the security bag. Failure to do so may affect any claims for damages or discrepancies.
- Any customs duties or import taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. Elevate Time AB is not liable for any delay of the shipment due to import procedures and cannot pay or reimburse import fees or other relevant payments.
- In the event of damages during transport, the customer must report them immediately to the shipping company. In case of complaints, the customer must describe the defect exactly and inform Elevate Time AB thereof in writing no later than 3 days from the receipt of the shipment.
- If a package needs to be picked up at a specific delivery point, the Customer shall do so within the time specified in the notification. Packages shall normally be retrieved personally with valid identification and order number. The Customer will receive a notification of delivery stating when and where the package shall be picked-up or received. The notification may be made by e-mail, ordinary mail, and if the Customer has provided a correct mobile number, also by phone or SMS.
- Unless otherwise expressly agreed and if a delivery is delayed for more than 30 working days and it is not due to you as a Customer, you are entitled to cancel the purchase.
- Right of Withdrawal and Returns (Ångerrätt)
As a consumer under Swedish law, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen (14) days without providing reasons (Lag (2005:59) om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler). The 14-day period begins on the day you – or a third party authorized by you, excluding the shipping carrier – receive the item.

- Returning the Goods: After informing us, you must return the Goods to us within fourteen (14) days after the day of delivery. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item was incorrectly described or demonstrably faulty at the time of delivery.
- Condition of Returned Goods (Fraud Prevention):
- Returned items must be in the same condition as received.
- Upon return, all items undergo a rigorous inspection, which includes reviewing the original video recording of the packing process and checking the integrity of the unique, tamper-evident security bag in which the watch was shipped.
- Returns will only be accepted if the item, including all original documents, packaging, and accessories, is in the exact condition as documented in our pre-shipping video, and the security bag remains intact or shows no signs of unauthorized opening/tampering.
- You are only liable for any loss in value resulting from improper handling beyond what is necessary to assess the condition, features, and functionality of the watch. Any such loss in value, or any unauthorized alterations or missing components, will be deducted from the refund amount, or the return may be refused entirely.
- All original documents, packaging, and accessories that were part of the original shipment must be returned.
- Refunds:
- Once we have received the returned goods and verified their condition, we will refund the same amount you paid when you ordered the goods, including standard shipping if paid (excluding any upgrades you selected).
- Refunds will be processed within 14 days without delay of our receipt of your withdrawal notice or upon receipt of the returned watch – whichever comes first.
- Refunds will be made using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed.
- Currency exchange differences and any bank fees between purchase and refund are the buyer’s responsibility.
- Limitation of Liability
- Loss or damage in transit (unless insured).
- Inaccuracies due to typographical errors.
- Any indirect or consequential loss.
- Any costs or losses incurred by the customer due to the use of the provided watch or any potential malfunctions that are not covered by the warranty.
Elevate Time AB is not liable for:
Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the item.
- Force Majeure
Events outside Elevate Time AB’s control, which are not reasonably foreseeable, shall be considered force majeure, meaning that Elevate Time AB is released from the obligations to fulfill contractual agreements. Examples of such events include government action or omission, new or amended legislation, conflict, embargo, fire or flood, sabotage, accident, war, natural disasters, strikes, or lack of delivery from suppliers. Force majeure also includes government decisions that affect the market negatively and products, for example, restrictions, warnings, bans, etc.
- Personal Data
All personal information you provide us with or that we obtain will be handled by Elevate Time AB as responsible for the personal information. The personal information you provide will be used to ensure deliveries to you and to provide offers and information. The information you provide is only available to Elevate Time AB and will not be shared with other third parties, unless absolutely necessary to carry out the contract. You have the right to inspect the information held about you. You always have the right to request Elevate Time AB to delete or correct the information held about you. By accepting Elevate Time AB’s Conditions, you agree to the above. Elevate Time AB observes relevant data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Intellectual Property & Copyright
All texts displayed on www.elevatetime.se and all descriptions, pictures, and graphics, as well as the website’s layout, are the exclusive intellectual property of Elevate Time AB. Any copy or use without prior written permission by Elevate Time AB is not permitted. Elevate Time AB does not act as an official dealer of any watch manufacturer(s) and is not connected with any watchmaker in any way. All trademarks, names, and designs are the property of their respective owners.
- Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. In the event of a dispute, any legal proceedings will be conducted in the courts of Sweden.
- Age Requirement
By placing an order at elevatetime.se, you warrant that you are at least 18 years old or have parents’ permission to buy from us.
- Additional Information
Elevate Time AB reserves the right to amend any information, including but not limited to prices, technical specifications, terms of purchase, and product offerings without prior notice. In the event that a product is sold out, Elevate Time AB has the right to cancel the order and refund any amount paid in the best way. Elevate Time AB shall also notify the customer of equivalent replacement products if available.
